HTC launched its flagship smartphone HTC 10 for India back in May
this year. The smartphone was launched in direct competition to
Samsung's flagship phones in Galaxy lineup and was priced at Rs. 52,990.
HTC has now slashed the price of the smartphone by Rs. 5,000 to Rs.
47,990, effective immediately.
While the Taiwanese company says the price cut is for the festive season, it has not specified if it is a limited period offer - effectively making it a price cut. HTC recently announced that HTC 10 will be the first of company's smartphones to get Android 7.0 Nougat update.
The HTC 10 is expected to get the Nougat treatment sometime in the fourth quarter this year. It sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440x2560 pixels) display and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the smartphone packs a 12-UltraPixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel at the front. The smartphone houses a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
HTC recently launched its new Desire 10 Lifestyle smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 15,990. The highlight of the smartphone is its "premium design", featuring a matte finish body and a metallic gold contour.
